How Bookings Work

Nation.Tattoo facilitates booking requests between clients and artists. A booking goes through the following stages:

  1. Request — Client submits a booking request to an artist
  2. Review — Artist reviews the request and proposes a date
  3. Deposit — Client pays the deposit to confirm the appointment
  4. Confirmed — Both parties receive confirmation
  5. Completed — Artist marks the session complete

Deposits

Deposits are set by the artist and are required to confirm an appointment. The deposit amount will be shown before you submit payment. Deposits are processed securely through Stripe.

Nation.Tattoo does not hold deposit funds. The deposit goes directly to the artist via Stripe Connect. Nation.Tattoo takes no commission on deposits or completed session fees.

Cancellations

Client cancellations: Deposits are generally non-refundable when a client cancels. Check the artist's cancellation policy before booking. Some artists may offer partial refunds for cancellations made well in advance.

Artist cancellations: If the artist cancels a confirmed appointment, you are entitled to a full refund of your deposit. Contact Nation.Tattoo support if a cancelled deposit is not returned within 5 business days.

Disputes

Booking disputes should first be resolved directly between the client and artist. If resolution is not possible, contact our support team with your booking ID and a description of the issue. We will mediate but cannot guarantee outcomes or force refunds.

Stripe's dispute resolution process is available for payment disputes. Contact your card issuer if a charge was unauthorized.

Reminders

Nation.Tattoo will send automated reminder emails before your confirmed appointment. You may opt out of reminders in your account notification settings.

Liability

Nation.Tattoo is a booking facilitation platform only. We are not a party to the agreement between client and artist. We are not responsible for the quality of work, artist behavior, or any outcome of the appointment. See our Terms of Service and Medical Disclaimer.
